OET Preparation for Healthcare Professionals: Individual Modules

If you don’t need preparation across all four OET sub-tests, this flexible enrolment option lets you take only the modules you need. Each module is priced at €250 and runs within the same 8-week schedule as the full course, so you can pick one, two or three modules based on your specific gaps.

Training is delivered by Sandra Walsh, a certified OET teacher with a background in both language teaching (CELTA, UCC) and direct experience with medical professionals through her work as a barrister and as a carer for a family member with complex medical needs.

Available modules

Listening:  Strategies for consultation extracts, workplace conversations and healthcare presentations. Note completion, identifying key information, understanding tone and purpose, managing time under exam conditions.

Reading:  Speed and accuracy across the three reading sections. Skimming, scanning, identifying detail and managing workplace texts efficiently.

Writing:  Referral letters, discharge letters and profession-specific healthcare correspondence. Selecting relevant case-note information, organising content clearly, using appropriate tone and register, and avoiding common grammar and vocabulary errors.

Speaking:  OET-style role plays using healthcare scenarios relevant to your profession. Relationship-building, empathy, information gathering, explaining, reassuring and patient-centred communication.

Schedule:

Class size Minimum 4, maximum 12 candidates per group.
