How to Access HSE Home Support Services
Accessing HSE Home Support Services is straightforward and designed to ensure that those in need receive timely support
Application Submission
Complete the application form and return it to your healthcare professional or local HSE Home Support Office. If you are unable to apply yourself, a relative, GP, or Public Health Nurse can complete it on your behalf.
Eligibility Assessment
A Public Health Nurse, GP, or another healthcare professional can provide an information booklet and application form for HSE Home Support Services. You can also download these forms from the HSE website.
Care Needs Assessment
After receiving the completed application, the HSE will arrange a Care Needs Assessment to determine the appropriate level and type of support required.
Homecare Tax Relief
In the Republic of Ireland, you can avail of up to 40% tax relief on the cost of private homecare. At Link Healthcare, we guide you through the process to ensure you receive the benefits you’re entitled to during Consultation.
How Homecare Tax Relief Works
- Tax relief is available to the billpayer at their marginal tax rate, which can be either 20% or 40%.
- Simply fill out the HK1 form (Claim for an Allowance for Employing a Carer). Our team is here to support you throughout the process to make it as smooth as possible.
- You can claim your tax relief at the end of the year, or opt to receive it monthly through your pay, so there’s no need to wait.
